Sify Infinite Spaces Limited, a leader in India’s data center industry, has launched Lucknow’s first AI-Hub data center . The groundbreaking ceremony for the facility took place on February 23, 2025, with the Honourable Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, IAS, officiating the event. The data center, located within the HCL IT city campus on Sultanpur Road, will be developed in four phases, with phase one expected to go live in June 2025. Designed to support major multinational companies in the NCR and Lucknow regions, the facility aims to reduce latency and serve as a critical asset for enterprises.
The data center will incorporate edge caching technology, which utilizes hardware and software components to store data locally, improving response time and computing efficiency. The ceremony was also attended by Shri Raju Vegesna, Chairman of Sify Technologies Limited, and other senior officials. Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, IAS, commented, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to position India as a global AI destination. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is building a robust AI ecosystem, leveraging hubs like IIT Kanpur, IIM Lucknow, IIT BHU, and IIT Allahabad. The development of AI City in Lucknow aligns with this vision, and Sify’s new AI Hub Edge data center is a key step in realizing Uttar Pradesh’s AI potential.
