Datadog made the first Australian data center announcement at the time to address customer security and privacy demands in the region. The new AWS setup through Datadog lets all 1000 Australian and New Zealand clients maintain official data rules. The Australian data center project shows Datadog is expanding its market strategy here, so they expect to start operations by mid-2025. Multiple companies across banking and finance, retail and e-commerce services, technology, and related sectors use Datadog operations in the region. The company predicts higher profits from both public organizations and medical and teaching institutions in the future. Grant Currey, Chief Technology Officer, Corporate ANZ at Flight Centre Travel Group, expressed his satisfaction with Datadog’s services: “As the ANZ Chief Technology Officer at Flight Centre Corporate, I am watching Datadog unite our entire technology ecosystem into a single pane of glass—transforming us from reactive to proactive and elevating outcomes for every level of the business.”
Lisa Tobin, group executive of technology at SEEK, commented on the benefits of Datadog’s technology: “With Datadog’s end-to-end observability, we can detect and address service quality across multiple business units. Ensuring we are proactively resolving issues before they become business critical for us.” As Vice President of Asia Pacific and Japan Rob Thorne affirmed Datadog’s dedication to this market. Datadog views Australia as one of its main target markets and plans to grow its local workforce across different teams throughout this year. “Datadog has experienced surging demand in Australia and New Zealand. Analysts forecast IT spending will reach AUD 147 billion this year, with cybersecurity, generative AI, and cloud services to receive significant attention.” “We are poised to support this appetite for advanced digital capabilities across the private sector, alongside the Australian Government’s ambitions to become a top three digital government.” At the virtual event, Datadog’s chief product officer, Yanbing Li, explained how Datadog’s investments affect the entire region. Our organization grows its investments across Australia and New Zealand by establishing our Melbourne office and strengthening our teams elsewhere in Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland. Australian firms aim to innovate fast through Datadog as they keep expanding their cloud use and digital transformation efforts while pursuing AI projects. Our new data center focuses on serving businesses under strict data rules like medical and banking, which need local hosting services. The new instance will offer all Datadog products to clients from various business sectors throughout Australia.

Datadog Revamps Partner Program
Datadog still has not made any new changes to its partner program since April 3, 2025. Datadog started their Partner Network on January 16, 2020, to create more service support for multiple partner types.
The program provides valuable assets for channel partners who can register new opportunities online while receiving marketing materials and system training. Datadog gives partners all the necessary training and certification to serve as local implementation experts while also providing customers with support and delivery services.
Datadog Launches Partner Network in Australia and New Zealand
On January 16th, 2020, Datadog introduced its Partner Network services in Australia and New Zealand. Our initiative now provides more help to channel partners across the region by offering marketing resources, self-learning tools for installing our product, and a partner portal for lead tracking, plus a partner listing system.
According to Nick Forsyth, Datadog Channel Head for Australia and New Zealand, partner involvement made Datadog successful. He understood that enhancing the partner program with greater association would help partners serve clients better while improving industry value. The specific details about Datadog partner programs could have been updated since these initial release announcements.
