Colt Data Centre Services has revealed its plan to build four data center sites in Germany as Berlin 1 & 2 and Frankfurt 4 & 5 to bring in 117 MW of capacity. It will expand the Colt DCS total in-country capacity to 176 MW in a bid in an effort to address the emerging demand of hyperscalers as well as enterprises that are deploying AI and HPC applications.​
Both the Berlin data centers will have an IT load of 54 MW in total; the land space will be approximately 9.5 acres in total. The two data centers offered in Frankfurt will offer a 63 MW IT load on a land space of about 18 acres. By the end of 2028, Colt DCS aims to bring online the first stages of both Berlin 1 and Frankfurt 4, for which power purchase deals are already in place. These developments speak to Colt DCS’s strategic position in Europe’s digitalization process and its dedication to providing sustainable, high-density solutions.
