Development of a 2GW Data Center in Sweetwater

IREN continues to progress its construction of the Sweetwater 2 data center hub situated in Texas at two sites. IREN plans to develop two distinct data center facilities: Sweetwater 1, with a 1.4 GW capacity set to energize by April 2026, and Sweetwater 2, with a 600 MW capacity expected for service by 2028. A data center hub totaling 2GW will emerge from the combined power generation of these sites. The Sweetwater 2 facility currently possesses 500 acres of land while finalizing its 600MW power connection to the electricity grid. Work on design is currently ongoing to establish a straight fiber cable system between Sweetwater 1 and 2, which will make the facilities more connected and efficient. IREN builds the capacity to handle rising data processing and storage solution needs through its recent developments.

Advancements in Liquid Cooling Technology

The existing data centers at IREN will receive distributed liquid cooling systems installed directly on their processing components. Low-temperature liquid circulates directly to heat-emitting components, such as the processor, to maximize their heat dissipation functions.
